About us

Northland Sea Kayaking owner/operator Richard Israel was born and raised on the shores of Hawaii. The sea has always played a major part in Richard's life of outdoor pursuits. As an expert paddler and the avid coastal explorer he has become, in the twenty-four years spent in New Zealand, intimately knowledgeable of the local coastline, environmentally sensitive, and in touch with his tour members capabilities.
